NURS 7325 - Psychiatric/Mental Health Practicum II

This course is the second of a series of four clinical practicum courses. This practicum builds on experiences from NURS 7320 and didactic coursework. Under faculty and agency supervision, Practicum II focuses on mental health assessment, diagnoses, case formulation, treatment planning and intervention for individual clients, work with couples and families in a variety of clinical settings. Group participation and integration of skills are expected. Seminars provide opportunity for students to critique clinical experience, practice skills, and participate in on-going case consultation.
