LLHG 616 - Gardening with Mushrooms

Gourmet and medicinal mushrooms are easy to cultivate outdoors at home. This course with help you understand the easiest varieties to grow, and the best micro-climates to grow them in. We will focus on wood chip bed production and also learn how to convert logs and stumps into high quality mushrooms. Students will take home a 5 lb sawdust spawn bag of their choice, with which to start their very own mushroom garden. Class requires 24 hour advanced registration.
