OSHER 719 - Utah Artists: Evolution of Their Work

Better understand the images, techniques, and motivation of some of Utah's most distinguished living artists, including David Meikle, Kimbal Warren, Karl Thomas, and Susan Gallacher. Whether interpreting landscapes, cityscapes, still lifes, figurative art or portraiture on canvas, your eye and mind will be stimulated by the what, why, how, when, and where of the artists' creations. The evolution of contemporary artists will be juxtaposed with their predecessors (and sometimes mentors). In addition to lecture and discussion, the class will have the opportunity to talk with the artists about their work.
