DENT 7151 - Essentials of Dentistry

This course introduces the dental student to dental terminology, the practice of dentistry and the history of dentistry. Terminology to be covered includes oral structures and common oral diseases, and oral health maintenance practices will be emphasized. The members of the dental team, dentists as members of healthcare team and the variety of ways that general dentists and specialists practice will be discussed.
