Description
The goal of this course is to introduce students to the theories, principles, and practices of instructional leadership. Issues around instructional leadership might include: facilitating professional collaboration; school reform for raising student achievement and closing achievement gaps; developing communication skills; creating positive school climate; and improving teachers' content and pedagogical knowledge. The course places emphasis on developing the students' skills in becoming instructional leaders who can apply research to their emerging instructional leadership practice.
