Description
We have much to learn from our interactions with all animals, yet the horse provides an unusual mirroring experience. In their natural environment, horses are vulnerable to predators. They rely heavily on their observations of the world around them and operate most comfortably in groups. When we slow down and listen they give us powerful feedback about ourselves and the impact we have on others. Students will come away from their equine encounter with a new understanding of their communication strengths and opportunities for growth. Basic horsemanship as a metaphor for interpersonal dynamics will be explored in a safe, fun and hands-on context. Course work will take place on the ground. This is not a horseback experience. No prior horse experience is needed.
