Description
This course prepares students for professional writing. Students will learn principles of document design to help them effectively design both print and digital texts. Yet employing effective design strategies is often not enough: it is also important to ensure that a text - whether a brochure or website or tutorial - meets the needs of its intended audience or "users." Students will be introduced to different methods of usability testing and evaluate whether users of texts are able to employ them successfully. Students strongly advised to take WRTG 2010 or equivalent prior to this course.
