Description
Believed to be the oldest form of marbling, Suminagahsi is translated to mean 'ink-floating'. Students will learn this ancient Japanese form of decorating paper with inks, while practicing different methods for making designs and patterns within the floating colors. In the second half of the course students will learn hand-stitched binding techniques to incorporate these lovely marbling pieces into books and or journals.
