Description
ITIL is a business process framework that guides IT organizations as the establish or adopt formal processes for IT Service Management (ITSM). The IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) enables IT teams to get aligned to the needs of the business in order to support its core processes. ITIL provides guidance to organizations and individuals on how to use IT as a tool to facilitate business change, transformation and growth. The ITIL best practices are divided into five core competencies that comprise the IT Service Lifecycle: ITIL Service Strategy | ITIL Service Design | ITIL Service Transition | ITIL Service Operations | ITIL Continual Service Improvement. The ITIL framework is comprised of several qualification levels: Foundation, Practitioner, Intermediate, Expert, and Master. This course comprises the Foundation level qualification. The Foundation level is the entry level qualification which provides a general awareness of the key elements, concepts and terminology used in the ITIL service lifecycle, including the links between lifecycle stages, the processes used and their contribution to service management practices.
