YEART 350 - Product Design Studio (Age 11-14)

Take a look around; everything in our built environment has been designed by someone. Large items like buildings and planes and smaller products like personal electronics, bicycles, furniture, etc., are all artifacts created by product designers. This introduction to product design will teach you to think like a designer. Go through the process that designers use to identify problems and then innovate creative solutions. You will have the opportunity to make things the traditional way, but you will also get to experiment with digital fabrication such as 3D printing and laser cutting!
