LLCFT 262 - Wearable Sculpture - Jewelry Inspired by Alexander Calder

Inspired by the works of Alexander Calder, students will create 4 wearable pieces including a brooch, ring, necklace, and earring plus a mixed media box or frame in which to display their pieces. Stone setting with wire wrapping, hand forming, and the use of basic hand-tools will be some of the techniques used to explore the idea of where jewelry and sculpture intersect. This class is ideal for beginners and more experienced jewelers.
