LAW 7060 - Commercial Law

The fundamentals of the law governing commercial transactions. Because much of this law is codified in the Uniform Commercial Code, emphasis will be placed on the techniques for using the Code. A substantial portion of the course will be devoted to Article 9 of the Code dealing with secured transactions, including the interplay between Article 9 and Bankruptcy Code. Parts of Article 2 (sales), Article 2A (leases), Article 3 (negotiable instruments) and Article 4 (bank collections will also be coverd).
