Description
This clinical course focuses on the nursing assessment and clinical management of individuals with acute and chronic mental illness. Students use their knowledge and skills in path-physiology, psychopharmacology and therapeutic communication to work with clients and their families. Cultural, ethical and legal aspects are addressed, with the emphasis on the therapeutic relationship between nurse and client. Students are in their final semester of coursework and clinical experience when they take NURS 4325.
