LLWRC 826 - The Secrets of Screenwriting

Explosions, zombies, swords, sex scenes, three-minute monologues and femme fatales...these all mean nothing without the foundation of a great story. In this course, we will use a shooting script of a movie currently in theaters to biopsy the bones of visual storytelling. You'll learn how to "read" movies, build three dimensional heroes, up the stakes, create obstacles, employ reversals and be able to use The 9 Mythic Questions to birth the blockbuster in your head.
