Description
This course is an introduction to investment banking in the public sector. The course will cover the various disciplines within an investment banking organization dedicated to the sector including public finance investment banking, distribution and underwriting. Roles of the various players in a capital markets transaction will be addressed. Various revenue streams and pledges to secure municipal debt will be explored and the ratings process examined. Finally the capital markets process will be studied through an interactive negotiated bond underwriting simulation process.
