THEA 3661 - Principles of Choreography

The students will take different sections of the musical theatre repertoire and create small dances on each other. They may also use outside dancers to illustrate their staging ideas. There will be some reading and research involved. The student will be asked to articulate his choreographic ideas both on paper and in an interview and to offer a defense of his choices. It will be necessary for the students to book rehearsal time and space outside of class to rehearse their work.
