Description
Introduction for all students to the basic principles of drug discovery and drug development. The course will cover the most common causes of human disease and the drug discovery process including issues related to lead identification, efficacy vs. toxicity, intellectual property and ethics. Students will develop the skills necessary to evaluate the grug literature with the ultimate goal of becoming an active player in their own health care.
