COMM 3650 - Asian American Media and Film

This course examines Asian American media and film, including television and video, as well as experimental, documentary, independent, and Hollywood features. The course studies these texts in relation to the history of Asian Americans, the historical imaging and imagination of Asian Americans, and Asian American class, sexuality, and culture generally. The class includes lectures, discussions, and screenings of various films, videos, TV shows, and ads.
