LLCFT 245 - The Art of Hand Lettering

Hand Lettering has been around longer and in more places than you think. The original sign, placard or event flyer was most likely hand lettered. With a resurgence for the love of lettering and letters, it's clear people want to take a stab at this fun and adaptable medium of expressing words. In this course we'll cover lettering basics, resources and inspiration. We'll talk about how easy it is to fall in love with this craft and how you can apply it in a form that everyone has to deal with every fall and winter; the dreaded holiday card. In the end you will come away with a new knowledge and love of lettering in the form of a design for a card that you can send to family and friends. All ability levels are welcome in this class, but it is geared toward those WITHOUT extensive lettering experience or a typography background. Special Fee includes pencils, erasers, Sakura Pigma Micron Pens, Paper and Tracing Paper.
