LLHG 570 - Extend Your Harvest: A Cool Season Tour and Hoop House Project

You've heard about gardeners who harvest spinach and kale all winter and you know the man down the street harvested his first tomato weeks before you did last year. How do they do it? Spend a morning visiting and learning from experienced gardeners and see their gardens in action. You'll see how gardeners extend the growing season with hoop houses, cold frames, and other weather-defying methods. The second week, we will meet at a garden and help construct a hoop house, cold frame, and/or other garden extender. Co-sponsored with Wasatch Community Gardens.
