MID E 5540 - The Middle East Since 1914: Imperialism, Nationalism, Revolution and War

Meets with MID E 3540, HIST 3400 and 6400. Course will cover World War I to the present. Includes discussions of colonialism, nationalism, liberation movements, oil dependency, economic development, and religious revival. The goal is for students to understand the background of the tensions between the Middle East and the West.
