NURS 5200 - Spanish Health Care Providers

This course is designed for students in both undergraduate and graduate nursing programs who would like to develop basic skills in communicating with native Spanish speakers and their families in a healthcare setting. Students will learn the basic Spanish medical vocabulary and phrases necessary to communicate with native Spanish speakers. Cultural and social factors influencing communication with Spanish speakers and their families will also be explored. No prior Spanish experience is required to take this course.
