CH EN 5159 - Production Engineering II

Meets with CH EN 6159. Highlights the basics of connecting a wellbore to the reservoir, following drilling. This involves completing the well, ensuring that the wellbore will remain intact during its productive life, cementing and perforating, gravel packing, frac packing, screens and simulation in vertical, inclined, horizontal and multilateral wells (fracturing or acidizing are carried out to enhance connectivity between the wellbore and the formations of interest). Graduate students will have additional assignments as part of the class project.
