PRTL 1266 - NR-Tourism in National Parks-Yellowstone

Examines tourism as a major economic engine, the recreation opportunity spectrum in the flagship park of the NPS system, competency in fundamental camping skills, hiking skills, outdoor cooking, travel techniques, Leave No Trace skills, and associated safety skills. Particular emphasis will be placed on interpretation techniques as part of the visitor experience. This will be accomplished through a site visit, discussions, demonstrations, and practical, activity-based learning.
