Description
Time was, a photographer could apply his artistry either through skillful camera manipulation or in the darkroom. While camera control is still important in the digital age, photographers now have digital retouching in their bag of tricks. Important for correcting technical difficulties, digital retouching also allows you to use your artistic eye to enhance colors, modify composition, and more. In this class, we will use Photoshop to bring out the best in our photos while preserving the quality of the original. Focus is on making your digital photographs stand out without looking over-manipulated or damaging the fine textures of the underlying image. We will be working in the computer lab; if you have Photoshop on your laptop, you may bring it if you prefer. Prerequisite: A working knowledge of Photoshop.
