PED 7120 - Clinical Genetics

Clinical genetics is concerned with the diagnosis and management of the individual or family with an inherited or genetic condition or birth defect. In this rotation the student will learn to evaluate individuals by attending Genetic and Metabolic Clinics and will assist with inpatient consultations. They will attend and participate in patient review conferences and prenatal diagnosis conference. Didactic focused learning is also available. If desired, there is opportunity to present a case study or write one up for publication.
