NURS 6320 - Psychiatric/Mental Health Practicum I

Psychiatric/Mental Health Practicum I based on an understanding of mental health and illness and knowledge of interpersonal communication. The course is focused upon mental health assessment, diagnoses, and case formulation for individual clients under faculty and agency supervision in variety of clinical settings. Beginning group skills are also emphasized. Seminars provide opportunity for students to critique clinical experience, practice skills, and participate in on-going case consultation.
