Description
Ever wondered how fused glass artists create thick, multi-layer glass jewelry pieces? Take your fused glass jewelry to the next level by creating five-layer pieces that can be turned into stunning pendants, bracelets, or rings. You will create a five-layer glass tile that incorporates dichroic glass into the design. Each student will work with tile saws to cut tiles into squares and rectangles; each cut piece will then be "cold worked" with a wet belt sander to polish the glass. After the pieces have been cold worked, they will be placed back into the kiln for a second fire and final polish. Don't miss this opportunity to learn how to create high-end fused glass jewelry that is gallery worthy. Students must know how to cut glass to attend this glass. Class is limited to 10.
