Description
Learn about and enjoy the benefits of Thai massage in this hands-on class. Thai massage blends styles from Thailand and her Asian neighbors that have been passed down for generations. Using point pressure, muscle stretching, and muscle compression, Thai massage is performed with a rhythmic movement of gentle rocking. In Thai massage it is not just the hands that free tension from the recipient's body, but the therapist's feet, forearms, knees, and elbows as well. In this way, Thai massage can move deeper into the mechanical functions of the body, working with deep muscle tension and joint mobility as well as nerve, muscle, and ligament balancing. The recipient is fully clothed, and no oils are required. Please bring a firm blanket or mat to each class.
