LLWRC 781 - Flash Fiction

Briefer than short stories yet with the structure and craft of a longer piece, flash fiction (typically 100-500 words) is attracting serious attention from readers, writers, and publishers. We will explore the medium through in-class exercises and by reading and discussing examples that appear in journals or anthologies. Writing prompts will help you get started, in-class critiques will push you toward a finished product. Appropriate for all levels.
