FP MD 6610 - Public Health Ethics and Law

The course will examine the legal foundations of public health laws and regulations, the ethical foundations underlying public health practice and research, and the relationship between public health law and ethics. Emphasis will be placed on current and historical issues and controversies in public health law and ethics and the differences and similarities between biomedical and public health ethics. Course will also discuss a code of ethics for public health research and practice.
