LLART 119 - Plein-Air Landscape Workshop: Oil

Embrace the beauty and challenges of outdoor painting in this 6-session class. We'll work with various oil paint mediums as we experiment with impasto, glazing, and both painterly and dry brush techniques (scumbling). On Wednesdays, we'll start with a brief discussion, then move outdoors for practice with oil sketching. On Saturdays we'll head to City Creek; the focus here is on completing one landscape painting. Please bring everything you need to draw or paint outside (including a chair, water, sunscreen, hat, etc.). You are responsible for your materials; you may find a list online, or call 587-5433.
