YEART 114 - Fashion Design School (Age 12 & Up)

Thinking about being a fashion designer? Are you a creative detail-oriented person passionate about innovation and in search of a place to self-express? This seven-day workshop will provide you with a chance to explore this multifarious field and will culminate at the Utah Arts Festival where you will market your new fashion line alongside our professional graffiti artists and local DJs at the 2009 Higher Ground booth. Develop your sense of color, texture and detail in this innovative design school workshop: sketch, sew, render and pattern while embellishing your creative ideas visually and verbally with studs, patches, stencils, textures, dye, and other accents. Before heading to market, consult with other fashion merchandisers for some more fashion education and insight as to how to get your festival game on. No prerequisite required. Some sewing experience is helpful.
