Attendance at 1st class meeting is mandatory. Drops not possible after 2nd day following this meeting. Class meets May 12, 14 only. Field trip May 16 - 21 to Mt. Shasta, California. Introduction to expedition-style alpine mountaineering including high mountain camp establishment, climbing on steep snow/ice, short roping techniques, and a potential summit attempt.
