OSHER 135 - Speaking French

If you've always wanted to study French, or are seeking to reactivate a level of fluency with the French language, this student-centered class will get you going. It is designed for both individuals planning a trip to France as well as armchair travelers hoping to better navigate a favorite French recipe or opera. Students will practice pronunciation, basic grammar, and important vocabulary, including French terms and phrases that enrich the English language. Different teaching techniques will be used to help students find the most effective methods for reaching their own learning goals, and the instructor will tailor class sessions based on students' interest and needs. This course may be repeated several times by students interested in continuing their learning. Class size is limited.
