LLART 73 - Experimental Water Media Painting

This advanced class will explore the possibilities of mixing diverse water media on paper. Transparent watercolor, gouache, and acrylic paints will be used as well as ink, crayons, and pencils. The focus will be on the process, with an emphasis on the duality of construction/destruction. Composition, including value, color, line, shape, and texture, will be central to the class. Please come to the first class ready to paint with watercolors; we'll then discuss additional materials. Willamarie has a BFA from the U in painting and drawing. Her watercolors have appeared in numerous national juried exhibitions and print media. Willa has been teaching watercolor for many years.
