SW 6012 - Practice II: Couples and Families

Students will learn to apply theories of the planned changed process (assessment, intervention, evaluation) to couples and families across the life span, as a result of course emphasis on praxis. Students are introduced to the process of building and nurturing relationships with couples and families. Central to the course is an emphasis on self-awareness and consciousness. The exploration of the intersections of personal and professional ethics and values is stressed in this course. Issues of diversity are introduced both as a practice competency and a practice value and tenets.
