LLMT 410 - Blending Voices: Choral Singing

In this workshop, we'll learn how to join our voices in choral singing. We'll start with beginning singing fundamentals, such as breathing for singing and correct posture. Then, using vocal toning, harmonizing with chord structures, and vowel tuning, we'll learn to listen to one another and to blend our tones. We will also learn to recognize conducting cues and understand musicality. We'll draw from a variety of repertoire, from Renaissance madrigals to American folk songs and spirituals. No previous choral experience necessary.
