Description
Lovers of The DaVinci Code will remember the rich geographic tour the book draws its readers along, as well as the legends that provide the clues in the intricate game of logic the book's protaganists embark upon. In this 4-week class, we'll start with the Code's geographic tour: the Louvre (and its book-specific paintings), St. Sulpice, Square du Temple, Chateau Villette, and Chartres. We will then poke into the legends and logic behind the code as we look at the other areas of France that are central to the code's unraveling: the three Mary's of Camargue, Rennes de Chateau, the Languedoc legends of the Knights Templar, and more. Appropriate for all students beyond the basic beginner level; in-class use of French will be tailored to participants' level.
