YEEMT 200 - Outdoor Writing Adventure (Age 14-18)

Wilderness surrounds us--it is the work of the adventurer to seek it out and report to the rest of the world. Luckily, you don't have to go far to find wild lands in the Salt Lake Valley. Come join local non-profit Great Outdoors Academy and other like-minded young adults as we discover and write about the Wilderness. Exercise your observational senses and your expressive voice while learning various writing methods. Tromp through a variety of environments searching for wildlife and scenic vistas just outside your door. The three-day course will include two excursions to the foothills and either a snowshoe trip or a canoe trip (depending on weather).
