Description
Designed to provide students with an opportunity to explore issues that are critical to the field of substance-abuse treatment. A variety of community resources will be employed to present information, share expertise, and lead discussions on special topics in the field. Presentation topics will supplement the A&D course series by providing an in-depth look at special-client populations, new strategies and techniques, emerging trends and problems in the field, diversity sensitivity, aftercare andenvironmental issues, prevention and other substance abuse related services, and closely related issues suchas domestic and youth violence.
