SW 702 - Alcohol & Drug Abuse: Professional Development

This seminar is designed to provide students with an opportunity to explore issues that are critical to the field of substance-abuse treatment. A variety of community resources will be employed topresent information, share expertise, and lead discussions on special topics in the field. Presentation topicswill supplement the A&D course series be providing an in-depth look at special client populations, new strategies and techniques, emerging trends and problems in the field, diversity sensitivity, after-care and environmental issues, prevention and other substance-abuse related services, and closely related issues suchas domestic and youth violence.
