LLART 127 - Silk Painting

Explore the magic and challenges of silk painting, a watercolor medium using fiber reactive dyes with silk as the painting surface. Silk's natural sheen, in combination with dyes, offers a variety of fluid, expressive possibilities. By the end of the second class, you will have completed your own hand-painted, unique, one-hundred-percent silk scarf. Please bring latex gloves, wear old clothes and shoes, and bring a sack lunch.
