Description
EEkkkk! It's Alive! Yes, the whole world is alive... plants, peas, pods, organisms, oceans, rivers, rain, dirt, dung, and your cat ! The whole earth is a living, breathing organism just waiting to be uncovered. This week, our camp theme focuses primarily on natural science and the discovery of life as we know it (although we will still find time to swim, play sports and participate in typical camp activities.) Travel through time exploring the exhibits at Utah Museum of Natural History. Take field trips to a nature or science center and uncover the entities that live around us. Ascend American Fork canyon until you reach Timpanogos cave and see the amazing formations that develop in this underground 'lab'! Electives for the 6-9 year olds may include the sights and sounds of science, making tornadoes and investigating other weather phenomena, playing with polymers, or visiting the U of U green house! Electives for the 10-12 year olds may include the science of flight and migration with Halkwatch, biology or workshops at the U of U med school.
