Description
Join us to experiment, extend, and jiggle loose some fun images from your camera. Any camera-SLR, point-and-shoot, digital, or even disposable-is acceptable. Emphasis is on fresh, personal, creative imagery. Technical help will be readily available, but it is perfectly fine to set your SLR on automatic; to use a point-and-shoot camera; or to pick up an inexpensive disposable and shoot away. Use color or black-and-white film for prints or slides, or print out images from your digital camera. Weekly assignments are designed to challenge the 'rules' of photography, explore the creative possibilities of the medium, allow personal experimentation, and let you have a good time making pictures. Come with an open mind, a willingness to try new things, and plenty of film. Bring six photos to the first class; please include one sunset or a close-up of a flower (!), as well as any wild ideas you have already pursued.
