YEART 103 - Art for Everyday (Age 6-10)

Not all art belongs on a wall! Using art found throughout the Museum as inspiration we will create art objects that you can use in your everyday life: a mug for your milk like those in the Chinese porcelain collection, a musical instrument inspired by African rattles, your own Navajo rug, and no need to paint on a canvas, we will be putting our art on t-shirts! This class will change the way you think about art and art materials. Students will enjoy their own art opening in the UMFA classroom upon completing the course.
