SP ED 5560 - Curriculum Adaptation for Students with Hearing Impairments

Meets with SP ED 6560. The purpose of this course is to review the process of curriculum adaptation for students with hearing impairments. State and federal regulations will be reviewed. Students will be introduced to a variety of assessment tools and how they are essential to planning and programming. Students will develop units/lesson integrating the Utah State Core Curriculum, published curricula, assessment results and IEP goals and objectives. Curriculum modifications needed by students with hearing impairments will be assimilated into the instructional process.
