SO WK 703 - Alcohol and Drug Abuse: An Overview

Students will gain new knowledge and understanding of addictive and abused drugs. Emphasis will be on the historical, psychosocial, epidemiological, pharmacological, and toxicological aspects of drug abuse and chemical dependence. Students will also develop insight into the variety of treatment modalitiesand approaches to meet the spectrum of needs presented by the diverse patient populations.
