Description
Behavior science is comprised of three domains; application, basic research and theory & philosophy. While all three domains are inextricably linked, theory & philosophy serves as the basis for both basic research and clinical application (practice). This course is designed to provide students with an in-depth understanding of Behaviorism and various opposing viewpoints. Modern day behavior science is rooted in the theoretical approach to behaviorism, first introduced by B.F. Skinner. In this course, students will learn to use the theoretical underpinnings of applied behavior analysis based on this approach to inform successful research and ethical practice.
