Description
This course is designed to develop an advanced concept of health equity, health justice, and the role of community-engaged research approaches in community health. Theoretical foundations of community-engaged research will be presented alongside a comprehensive analysis of the societal, economic, and political context of health equity and justice. Students are expected to critically examine personal experiences, theories, and empirical literature relative to social, behavioral, and community health topics. Expect significant reading and writing assignments.
